Pagan Dream Guide
The shocking vision in dreams of a savage tiger shark gripping one’s leg is just the sort of thing to wake one up late at night, in a hot, heart-pounding sweat. Conversely, it would perhaps seem difficult for most folk to view the image of a beautiful blue butterfly with anything other than ageless delight and wonderment. In the dreamworld anything is possible, but things may not always be as they initially seem!
This dream guide does not profess to be all-encompassing; no list ever can be. Within these unique pages you will discover the meaning of many dreams and associated symbolism. The guide may therefore be used as a general handbook to enable the seeker of truth to enhance their psychic ability to reach deeper regions of the mind.
The dreamer is usually the best person to interpret the dream. However, a better understanding of symbolism can help a great deal.
This concise inventory of dreamtime imagery will hopefully prove to be valuable to all explorers of greater insight, especially those wishing to partake in the ancient arts of divination. This is not an egotistical claim by the author, for the mysteries of the gods works through all things. We contain within our beings, real concrete aspects of divinity.
The gods are of us, we are of the gods! The relationship is a symbiotic, two-way affair. It is as simple as that! Sacred aspects reside within all who sincerely care to look for them.
Dreams and symbolic images may be linked to events of past, present or future. The honest seeker in his/her interpretation of dreams must keep this fact in mind, always.

Confessions of a Twenty-first Century Blogger
In these unpredictable times blogging has become a powerful force for either positive change or negative flux. Blogging may help to promote peace and understanding in our communities or alternatively, conflict and disharmony. This study marks Pat Regan’s twelfth published book. The manuscript is based loosely on Pat Regan’s own blogging experiences. The subjects included originated from the author’s sincere desire to make changes for the greater good, present inaccessible news items and to simply share his various passions. The themes involved are extensive including: ufology, paranormal issues, social campaigns and the dangers of fundamentalism, politics, the countryside, angling, plus many other topics. Some of the blogs included may be seen as light-hearted, whilst others take on a deadly serious nature. In Confessions of a twenty-first century blogger the author has utilised his frequently controversial writing style spanning several years. The diverse topics within follow no particular order. This unrestricted format gives readers the advantage of being able to pick up the book and open it on any page; rather than having to follow a set order of ‘automaton-like’ material, one page after the other. The author hopes that this book will stimulate others to challenge that great evil in our midst, which is public apathy. Furthermore, he sincerely hopes that his work will encourage other aspiring authors to write their own experiences down. Ultimately, if you have a strong desire to write and need to really get something off your chest then why not do so?We live in a time when self-expression is something that anyone can achieve. Consequently, Pat’s advice is to “stop hanging about” and get into some blogging today. Your efforts may even lead to a brand new book in due course. So, what are you waiting for?

I am a married father of four lovely children and also a grandfather of five.
I was born and raised in Southport Lancashire. I have both Swiss and Irish blood running through my veins and the rebellious Celtic fraction may be what gives me the internal fire to stand against bullies of any sort, which are regularly mentioned within the revealing pages of my latest book, ‘Dirty Politics’.
As a child and younger man I was largely indifferent to what went on in the world. So long as nothing affected me I let things slide by.
Nevertheless, life had other plans for me and as my thirties, drifted into my forties my will became firmly set against various injustices in both the political arena and within ecological concerns. My primary mode of self expression was first, as a painter with brush and canvas, yet later on the written word became my favoured technique of attacking life’s inadequacies. I believe that the power of the written word must not be underestimated! Words are higher thought forms manifested into hard reality; the potential influence they hold on the human psyche is greater than most of us are ever aware!
Back in 2003 I first discovered how filthy politics could become when a well-meant, cross-party, secular anti-hospital cuts campaign brought out the very worst in self-righteous politicians who had lost face and were clearly out for revenge. My family was attacked in the press and on the internet by the politicians who were ‘supposed’ to be supporting the rights of their constituents and I, along with several other concerned individuals, realised that the world must be alerted to their despicable deeds and misleading propaganda.
The hatred they levelled at any dissenters to their agendas was soon to be directed towards the local countryside when concerns about their eco-destructive development plans surfaced.
Before too long the same despots were seeking to enforce the detested 2-week waste collection scheme on residents. They would not listen to legitimate public concerns and steamrollered over anyone who stood in their way. They used every trick in the book to silence their critics yet I exposed them along with other campaigners, such as Doretta Cocks of the Campaign to return weekly collections, at every opportunity. I quickly discovered that other UK boroughs were receiving ‘The Treatment’ by totalitarian authorities that had run out of control, via enforcement of this Government’s massively unpopular bin policy.
Dirty politics was born as a means to highlight the gross hypocrisy and dictatorship festering deep within local authorities towards the UK’s populace.
Someone had to write this ground breaking book and it just so happened that the gods, in their wisdom, granted me with this substantial task!
So far in life I have been deeply involved with many campaigns for the environment, wildlife, minority religious rights, exposure of apathy from authorities like the Ministry of Defence towards unidentified objects and of course more recently the crusade to return our more hygienic weekly waste collections. The bin issue is also set to escalate due to manic proposals to worsen this situation with ‘monthly’ (yes, 4 week) collections next. Watch this space!
I’ve also appeared on UK and US TV (the History Channel, UFO Hunters show and news shows), subsequent to me inadvertently photographing something rather bizarre over the skies of Lancashire. I write UFO books and for the UFO Digest website at their request.
I am probably happiest when fly fishing on the wild spate stream of Lancashire and Yorkshire by my self. I have a website about this passion and I have also written a book about that particular subject.
My chief interests (I hate the term ‘hobbies’) include:
Writing about things that affect me and interest me; exposing closet hypocrites in political circles that think they are above reproach; being good to close friends; looking after the family; fly fishing and fly tying; Growing fruit and vegetables; painting pictures, when I get a minute; campaigning about any issues that seem unjust; Ufology (I have created a popular research outlet/website regarding this issue called North West UFO Research); ancient global mythology and native British Pagan religion (I have written two published books on this subject; the New Pagan Handbook and before that, The Torch and the Spear).
I occasionally indulge in shooting (I hold a Firearms Certificate); weight – lifting, martial arts (I initially trained with the legendary late, great Gary Spiers); combat knife throwing, metal-detecting in remote areas; seeking to protect the threatened countryside/wildlife from the excess of councils and callous politicians and many other things that I simply cannot recall just now.
I must say that my efforts in various campaigns have brought to me a wide band of good and genuine friends who really care about how society is going. My greatest wish would be to see such caring crusaders in places of influence.
All ancient celebrations relate to Nature and humankind’s place within the cosmic whole. Authentic Paganism is based on immutable truths. Unlike later man-made religions, Pagan worship is not in any way doctrinal but is a way of being. It is a great gift that we are all born with. The Old Gods reside deep within us; they dwell also in the vast uncharted corners of the universe and beyond. Their terrible yet beautiful force creates, destroys then creates anew all things in existence. The wondrous Lord and Lady of Paganism are as real today as they have ever been for those exceptional and enlightened people who welcome them into their hearts, minds and souls.
In The New Pagan Handbook Pat Regan explores the origins of Paganism, its suppression and re-emergence and looks at ways modern Pagans can express their spirituality and draw closer to the Old Gods.
Using classical Roman Paganism as a model, this book shows you how to develop rituals and magick to suit your needs. With extensive appendices on symbolism and festivals, The New Pagan Handbook will help you to begin your own Pagan journey.
Within this unique book Pat Regan reveals the mysterious nature of the diverse, spiritual forces underlying the British landscape.
The ancient peoples, who made their impact on the British Isles, influenced many later cultures after them.
A great deal of pre-Christian heritage came to the British Isles from the Celts, Saxons, Romans and Vikings etc.
This incredible Pagan legacy went on to give rise to countless traditions that later spread to the rest of the globe.
The organic Paganism of the British Isles is therefore in many ways a central point for the Old Religion that mysteriously held sway over the native people of so many lands.
These green isles held their own thriving native spirituality, folklore and customs long before intolerant church missionaries from far away spread their restrictive, ‘one-god’ doctrine on the inhabitants on the land.
In this ground-breaking book Pat Regan brings together numerous mythological aspects, surrounding the old gods and goddesses of the native countryside and explains how they may influence us today.
Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria all posses lovely watercourses that each new season bring fishermen, both expert and tyro, back time and time again.
Pat Regan the author of: Fly fishing on wild becks, has spent decades perfecting the mysterious craft of the fly-fisher in pursuit of wild brown trout and grayling.
In this book the author shares an intimate, rural knowledge of watercraft and riverside wisdom that is quite unique. This information has been hard-won from years of fishing on the banks of wild rivers like the Twiss, Doe, Greta, Hodder, Lune, Yarrow, Wenning and others.
Pat Regan imparts his knowledge though a series of honest, and sometimes amusing, accounts of riverside experiences. Flies are discussed in detail and patterns are included so that the angler can try out Pat’s original dressings.
Pat Regan has taught the art of fly tying at adult education classes and demonstrated at game and country events, Pat also previously won a round of the Partridge of Redditch, Advanced Fly Dressing Competition.
Fly fishing on wild becks takes the fly-fisher to the next level and beyond.
Overflowing bins every fortnight and worstening countryside loss – are the UK’s dictatorial authorities really promoting a Green agenda?
